In Chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll discover the Daoist Mi quest that grants a powerful reward. This secret quest is found in the secret Purple Cloud Mountain area after defeating Venom Daoist twice.
Completing the Daoist Mi quest grants you the Violet Hail transformation spell which nullifies poison effects – a big help against tough bosses in Black Myth: Wukong.
To begin this quest, you must reach the Petalfall Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine. From there:
Daoist Mi will tell you about people falling to greed. He then tasks you with collecting the Violet Hail key item.
To get the Violet Hail, you’ll need to defeat yellow-robed enemies in the area. It’s a random drop so keep fighting until you get it. If you run out of enemies rest at a shrine to respawn them.
Once you have the Violet Hail return to Daoist Mi. But watch out – handing it over triggers a boss fight!
Beating Daoist Mi rewards you with the Violet Hail spell transformation. This nullifies poison effects making it super useful against certain bosses.
Important: Make sure to finish this quest before beating The Duskveil boss or you’ll be locked out of it.
The Daoist Mi quest is a great example of how exploration pays off in Black Myth: Wukong. Taking detours often leads to secret areas, boss fights, and powerful rewards. So keep your eyes peeled and don’t be afraid to poke around – you never know what secrets you might uncover!
