In Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong you’ll encounter Non-Void, an optional boss in the New Thunderclap Temple. To fight him you need to start the Snow Fox Quest near the Forest of Felicity Shrine.
Defeating Non-Void rewards you with his Spirit Summon which lets you become invincible and intangible during battles and other crucial materials. Let’s dive into how to find and defeat Non-Void in Black Myth: Wukong.
To locate Non-Void head to the Valley of Ecstasy and find the Snow Fox’s spirit near the Forest of Felicity Shrine. Interact with the corpse to start a dialogue and receive an item that lets you transform into a fox.
Next, make your way to the New Thunderclap Temple. From the Temple Entrance Shrine go straight through the entrance courtyard to the central plaza. Climb the stairs and turn left from the small central building.
Enter the large building on the left climb the stairs and find a door leading to a large temple. Before entering, use the Snow Fox Brush from your inventory to transform into a fox. Step inside to trigger a cutscene and start the boss fight.
Remember you only need to do this transformation once. After that Non-Void will become hostile whenever you enter his arena.
Here are five of Non-Void’s most important attacks to watch out for:
Boss Attack | Description | Counter |
Balls of Void | Throws small white projectiles that follow you | Dodge before contact or use Spinning Staff to deflect |
Parry Into Fadeout | Raises one leg and brings arms in front. Parries your attack and fades into invisibility | Stop attacking when you see this stance to avoid being parried |
Backhand Jab Combo | Starts with a straight backhand punch followed by an elbow attack and a palm strike releasing Qi | Dodge repeatedly in any direction as soon as the first attack begins |
Qi Focus | Assumes a stance with arms together causing smoke to emit from his body | Create distance quickly when his hands come together |
Scripture Tornado | Casts a spell on scattered scriptures forming a tornado that follows you | Sprint away or repeatedly press dodge if caught. Attacking Non-Void may dispel the tornado |

Remember the Temple Entrance Shrine is quite far from Non-Void’s arena. If you get defeated you’ll have to run all the way back. So make sure you’re prepared before engaging in the fight.
Beating Non-Void grants you the following valuable rewards:
These rewards make the challenging fight against Non-Void worthwhile especially the Spirit Summon which can significantly change your approach to future battles.
After defeating Non-Void don’t forget to return to the Snow Fox’s spirit near the Forest of Felicity Shrine. Completing this quest will transform your Snow Fox Brush Key Item into a Curio. This Curio moderately increases the duration of your transformations which can be incredibly useful in future battles.
By following these strategies and staying persistent you’ll be able to overcome Non-Void and claim your well-earned rewards. Good luck in your battle against this elusive boss in Black Myth: Wukong!
