Find out how to tame and recruit animals in LEGO Fortnite in this article and get the rewarding resources over time.
LEGO Fortnite v29.30, launching April 23rd, allows you to tame and recruit cows, sheep, chickens, and the newly added pigs to your in-game village in the Farm Friends update.
Not only can you increase your village’s population, but these animal companions also provide fresh resources and engaging interactions with villagers. Here’s a complete breakdown of how to tame and recruit animals in LEGO Fortnite.
Before welcoming any animal friends, you’ll need to construct an Animal House. This new station becomes available once your village reaches Level 2 and serves as both a home and resource hub for your animal residents.
With an Animal House built, you can start taming creatures by following these steps:
You’ll unlock the recipe after building an animal house. Once you have it, craft these treats to gain the animal’s friendship.
Gently pet a wild animal to gain its trust, then offer a tasty Animal Treat. If accepted, you’ll get a limited amount of time to get them back to your Village.
Quickly but carefully escort the animal back to your village before the timer runs out.
Get creative with vehicles, fishing rods, or bridges to avoid them getting hurt during the journey.
If the animal gets hurt on the journey, heal them by feeding them another Animal Treat.
Once in your village, interact with an Animal House to assign your animal its new home and name it from a selection of names (only one animal can be assigned per Animal House).
After settling in, remember to keep your farm animals happy and healthy. Feed them, pet them, let them join village dances – a content animal means plentiful resources. You can even designate a villager caretaker when you’re away.
The real bounty comes from the animals’ resource production over time:
With the Farm Friends update, your LEGO Fortnite village can flourish. Just be sure to feed your animals and give them the love and care they need to keep those valuable resources flowing!
