Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 offers players a choice of four difficulty settings: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Dynamic. While the first three are straightforward, the Dynamic difficulty setting is a unique feature that adjusts the game’s challenge based on the player’s performance in combat.

This guide will explain how the Dynamic difficulty works and how to change the difficulty settings in Hellblade 2.

Dynamic difficulty is the default setting in Hellblade 2. When enabled, the game automatically adjusts the combat difficulty based on the player’s performance. If the player is doing well and not taking much damage, the game will increase the challenge by making enemies more aggressive and harder to defeat.

On the other hand, if the player is struggling and dying frequently, the game will temporarily lower the difficulty to give them a chance to recover and progress.

It is important to note that the Dynamic difficulty only affects combat encounters. Puzzles and other aspects of the game remain unchanged.

Choosing the Right Difficulty Setting

In addition to the Dynamic difficulty, Hellblade 2 offers three other difficulty settings:

  1. Easy: This setting makes combat much less challenging, allowing players to take many hits without dying. It is ideal for those who want to focus on the story and exploration without worrying too much about combat.
  2. Medium: The Medium difficulty provides a balanced experience, offering some challenge in combat but not being overly punishing. Players will need to be more cautious than on Easy but can still make a few mistakes without facing severe consequences.
  3. Hard: As the name suggests, the Hard difficulty is designed for players who want a significant challenge. Enemies are much more dangerous, and even a few hits can lead to death. This setting requires careful timing and strategy in combat.

For players unsure which difficulty to choose, starting with the Dynamic setting is recommended. This allows the game to adjust to their skill level and provides a tailored experience.
