General Cassius the Betrayer Location in V Rising

General Cassius roams the western side of the ruins of Mortium. He is usually accompanied by up to four guards. Use the blood tracking ability to locate him. Be cautious of the high-level demon militia and Silverlight Hills army patrols in the area. These enemies can be used to initiate the fight with Cassius to make the encounter easier.

How to Defeat General Cassius in V Rising?

Cassius has several basic attacks and abilities:

• Dash attack that can be sidestepped
• Teleport dash behind the player
• Basic swing attack with a large range
• Unholy explosions cast beneath the player’s feet

His attacks are slow, allowing players to maintain distance and strike between his moves. Save dodges for his dash attacks. Be mindful of his sword’s extensive range.

When General Cassius calls for his sword, Night Falls Edge, he begins a new phase. He starts with a slam attack, then separates from his sword. During this phase, Cassius throws corrupted skulls that summon skeletons upon hitting the player. He also summons other undead creatures. Cassius is invincible in this state.

To progress, focus on attacking his sword. Wait for the sword to move before engaging, as it will not move again for a few seconds. Deal as much damage as possible before it relocates. Upon defeating the sword, interact with it and throw it at Cassius. This action will kill the undead enemies and stun Cassius, providing an opportunity to inflict significant damage.

Cassius’ ultimate ability begins when he teleports the player. Dodge three lines of unholy explosions to survive. After the third wave, he returns to his previous attack patterns. Immediately after dodging the third wave, players can safely resume their offense.
